Hi,
I'm 5'11", with mens size batting pads, trouble is I have these long skinny legs, and finding that when I tighten the batting pads up, the straps overhang or when I do them up they end well exceeds past where it should end (god, I hope this makes some sense).. my thighs are kinda like smallish, damn me getting my fathers legs!!! Anyway they do not feel tight, don't know what to do.. Should I simply just bite the bullet and cut them, knowing full well that they will fray over time, whether it be a season or two????

Anyone suggest something ???
Regards
Trigger

I haven't had to do this myself as i have not experienced this problem but If you cut the straps, could you then put a coating of superglue/clear adhesive over the end and let it dry thus holding the end of the threads together and preventing fraying?
Just a thought that popped into my head, hope it helps

I have the same problem Trigger, tried different pads but no good. I learnt this trick when I was young, just lightly burn the tips and quickly mould/press with something while its hot. You can then put the glue to be extra sure.
Alternatively you can try putting some shin guards before you put the pads on :-)
