I see the Aussies are in a bit of a selectorial turmoil after ruling the roost for so long... The days are long gone when the side picked itself and all the selectors had to do was announce it.. A couple of Ashes defeats and now they have to earn their corn and judging by the negative comments being made about the squads to tour Sri Lanka, they don't appear to be making a very good job of it. However,as one commentator said, it's all very well criticising the selectors, but they can only pick from what's out there, and what's out there isn't very much. If that's true, it's going to be a long climb back up the rankings ladder.
Test squad: Shane Watson, Phillip Hughes, Ricky Ponting, Michael Clarke (capt), Michael Hussey, Usman Khawaja, Shaun Marsh, Brad Haddin (wk), Mitchell Johnson, Ryan Harris, Peter Siddle, Trent Copeland, James Pattinson, Nathan Lyon, Michael Beer

Quite - though an odd squad ayway if you ask me. Firstly, why no HAuritz? Their only reason for dropping him was that Ricky hated him... Second, why no Maddison? Top SS run scorer and maker of serial tons, surely he'd be a better bet than Hughes or the frankly ancient Hussey?

Hauritz is still injured, squad is ok with the exception of leaving out Katich, seems a dumb move removing the one strong point of a rebuilding team. O'Brien from NSW is the unlucky spinner, his is far better than Beer, not sure what he's done wrong. Look for Copeland to clean up if given the chance, I think it will only happen if Harris gets injured again, which is likely, Johnson will survive again on one good performance. Should be a good series, big one for Clarke, he is really suspect with the aussie public at the moment but few wins would win him some favour. Looking forward to it.
