Hi,

My 5 year old son has just got into cricket and I am looking for a relatively cheap size 1 bat.

Email me or reply to this post if you have anything

why do you think size 3 is more suitable when you dont know the size of the child ?
if you are gonna pass advice over , then make sure you find out the facts beforehand thats all.

okay, let the child decide,he will probably be more interested in the game if you let him choose, same with the size.

no ammo thats utter rubbish, there are kid/bat height/size charts out there published by most manufacturers for a reason. Bat size goes on child height not age.

here you go http://www.gm-cricket.com/pages/bat-sizes.aspx

Sorry Zander , please ignore Ammo, get your 5 year old sized up and use the guides at gm http://www.gm-cricket.com/pages/bat-sizes.aspx to tell you which bat size you should be looking at. (nothing to do with age)
