on a bowling machine i have had it at 85mph. It wasnt too bad actually until you put swing on it then its unplayble...so i woudnt want to face james anderson when he bowls well!
ive kept to 97mph on a bowling machine. We put the bowling machine at one end of the sports hall, put the 22yard matting about half way down and then i was virtually against the back wall. Caught one thing in about 10 attempts. I really wouldnt reccomend it. Mate of mine decided to bat agaisnt it (again machine at one end him at the other) dont think he hit the ball once ). In proper circumstances mid/late 80s is probably the fastest ive faced, but pace like that is very very rare.
and do remember people the bowling machine is always bowling the ball 5mph than it actually says so a 75mph ball is actually 80mph. This is something i have seen from the bowling machine whilst it been on a speed gun
