Swann the great spinner? Don't make me laugh. The guy is rubbish. Can't wait for the Test series in England. Swann will get trashed around. |

Yes we were out classed, outplayed and maybe humiliated but claiming swann is rubbish is absurd!
and im almost certain he will not get trashed around in the test series in England, as IMO he is a great test bowler and a good odi bowler. Statistics can often be deceiving but Swann's record isn't, his records show that he is a good clever spinner. |

Sorry but he relies on batsmen slogging him up in the air.
Sure anyone get take cheap wickets vs West Indies, Bangladesh and a bunch of match fixers from Pakistan. But Sri Lanka and then India will expose this fraudster.
He is a village bowler. |

Swann although probably not the most talented spinner in the world (even though he is up there) is without a doubt the most clever spinner in the world and he gets in any test side currently around the world because of it.
Swann in the 09 ashes took 14 wickets (second to stuart broad), bit harsh to say because of what the pakistani's did, that those wickets dont prove he's good!?
has taken wickets against nearly every nation in all forms of the game! POINT PROVEN! |

Keeping saying it and might might start to believe it...
As great spinners go, the World has gone from Warne, Murali, Kumble and MacGill - 4 outstanding bowlers.
To a journeyman like Swann?
One thing is certain, against high quality players of spin eg SL and IND, Swann can't hack it.
As for getting into all other sides in the World, he wouldn't get into the Sri Lankan or Indian side. |

Alex , Hatter is insighting these comments, im not having it on the forum, I have asked him to stop. There was equal banter however I take offense to members causing problems like this on the forum. I have asked him to stop, thats all !!
