I recently bought a gt ***** from morrant. It weighs 2.10 and picks up about 2.9 with a chevron and spiral grips.
9 straightish grains with no heartwood.
Responds really well off the mallet and keepy uppies.

on a budget mate + this bat looked as good as most of the players

yeah it is except for a few small marks but shouldnt affect the performance
