As you may have heard Ricky Ponting threw his batting gear at the a tv screen in the OZ dressing room after he was run out against Zimbabwe.
He isnt being fined or anything, because he said sorry which makes it all okay!
I know that this isn't a major thing, but its yet another example of behaviour that 'isnt cricket' by him, and yet again he gets away with it.
Your thoughts.....

OZ dressing room is private for the period of time they are staying in it.

Nothing wrong with Ricky , I'd have him and KP in my side any day of any week.

i agree , nothing wrong with venting frustration , and like omega says the dressing room is private.
These guys are permanently on tv when on the field of play and have to be angelic for fear of being reported or fined.

This IMO is perfectly ok. Did he hurt anyone? NO , will it be replaced? YES , End of

Ponting was probably more frustrated that he couldn't score a hundred vs an inexperienced Zim side. He knows his days are numbered, a shadow of the player he once was.

Omega you're an idiot. Punter and KP are more a burden than a positive for their respective teams.

This incident was behind closed doors , i fail to see why he should be repremanded , he offered to pay, end of story

guess people like you bob just want blood for the fun of it. Passion is a massive part of sport and the more we quell it with these stupid people who think its bad for people to show passion, then the poorer the sport will be.

Passion is fine but when it boils over into anger or blind rage that results in damage to someone else's property, I don't think that's acceptable, behind closed doors or not and notwithstanding any apology or offer of payment. If you think it does Nick, then fine. I don't.
