| Best spinner in the world ? Personally I rate Warne and Murli ahead of him. |

| we could all take international wickets if we were alloowed to throw the ball! Warne's time has been, and gone. Swanns ranked no. 2 bowler in the world for a reason, because hes the second best bowler in the world, simples! |

| Throwing the ball as a bowler whilst bowling is against the laws of the game Jordan. |

Off spinners get murdered in India, Murali, Mendis, Hauritz. Why would any IPL side want Swann?
Couple in that Indian spinners are superior at home guys like Ashwin, Ojha, Chawla are more in demand |

If Murali can get away with it, why can't I?

On the swann situation,, no 'old-fashioned' off spinner is going to do well in those conditions. You have to have the 'other one', the doosra or the karam ball. The offies who got bought: murali; ashwin; botha all have this quality.
On a side note, to do with who did and did not get bought. The fact that there were only 60 odd indians to choose from meant overseas never had a chance. Couple in with that, people like Luke Wright//Michael Yardy pricing themselves at 400k (when Kallis and Gambhir were only 300k!) and it is no surprise England got shafted.
Broad is a surprising one for me, considering Anderson wasn't bought but Morgan and Colly should be no surprise to anyone. Colly is now available all the way through and Morgan is star quality.
Perhaps, another thing standing against us, is the lack of English coaches? Bevan looked after the aussies, as did the other coaches. |

Botha doesn't bowl the doosra, he's banned from doing so. |

| Granted, an oversight by myself. Yet he is unorthodox, something which Swann isn't. |

Totally agree. I think Botha in T20 is a very clever bowler, he can bowl in the first 6 overs and at the death.
Couple in he's a brilliant fielder, decent with the bat and is SA's T20 captain, not a bad package! |
