| If the Ultimate 98 then if its the "lightest helmet on the market" then the one i purchased last week was heavier than masuri ti thats for sure....not to mention another brands carbon/kevlar helmet |

I bought one on saturday and when I got home, I notcied part of the carbon fibre had been really dried out, so it was flexing when I pushed it with my thumb near one of the vent holes on the side. I went back to GCCC today and they gave me a new one which is what I wanted as the helmet is really good. It was just weird that albion would send a helemt ,that wasn't upto standard, to be sold. In the weight departemnt;
Albion Ultimate 98: 675 grams (Replacement one) Masuri Titanium (2008): 575 grams
So clearly not the the lightest, but to me it does feel really good, and to me it feel like it fits my head better than a masuri. The first helmet I got was cleary just one that slipped through the net. I would deffinately recomend the helmet to anyone as it is cheaper than a Masuri Ti and it's is just as good. |

| Well ayrtek posted the bsi results on another forum and the top ayrtek was found to be 300% safer in terms of how much impact is felt I'm sure Tom has the results somewhere |

BSI will never claim the helmet tested will be 300% safer as it makes them wide open with regard to counter claims by other brands in the market place.
If it is indeed 300% safer (top model that is) then it will be stated on the BSI Certificate.

Bsi never stated that the results of each helmet were sent to Tom then put side by side the impact sensor registered that much less on the ayrtek I will post a link when the other forum is back up unless Tom sees this and can find the results but the results are fact |

I never said BSI did Roco.
Do not get confused by lightest helmets , impact and shock absorption results.

Well I trust the facts I have seen and the ayrtek is the lightest and safest but you are entitled your opinion
If you need specific info email or pm ayrtek above and he can give them to you as I am probably not explaining them right |

Claiming to be the safest on the market needs a basis to make this claim from. We had to pay to test the other brands helmets to see what we were up against when doing our RnD. This involved putting other brands helmets thorugh the BSI test to obtain the results as this was the only way to find out how they performed.
By doing this testing we know that our helmets were recording 300% less impact force than the other brands helmets to the headform inside of them.
The Ultimate 98 i bought weighed 804g which was 20% heavier than our Elite helmet and heavier than a masuri Ti as well which disproves the claim of beign the lightest on the market.
Id be interested as to what basis they are making their safety claims to be the "safest and lightest".
A claim is exactly that unless you can justify it with evidence to back it up IMO
BSI wont state anything about % safer on the certificate they merely state if the helmet being tested has passed the test and provide you with a set of results as each helmet is tested as an independant product. |

Maybe you should seek the Kitemark from BSI which would (if it meets the criteria set out for the BSI Kitemark) will then set you apart from all the rest of the brands.

| 804 grams. Big difference between yours and mine, as my Ultimate 98 weighs 670g and that would put it on par with your helmets, maybe slightly heavier. |

I don't know what albion is doing if yours can weigh 140g more than mine. I just don't understand it.
Also, maybe they mean mass market as Masuri and Albion are sold in Australia and England in most stores (I think), where as ayrtek is an english brand which I'm not too sure what stores they are sold in but I deffinately haven't seen anyone where one over here in Aus. Even in saying that though my masuri ti weighs 30 grams less than the albion so again, I have no idea what albion is doing. |

might have found a reason for the weight difference (If not, back to my previous thoughts on how I have no idea waht albion is doing)

Dunno if you can see it, but Watson is using the newer ultimate 98 helemt and white is using the old one. The grill's are obviosuly differnt and the vent holes on Watson's are gray where as on White's they are black. Different design and possible explanation to the difference in weights, if not, well I have no idea. |
