10 Day cricket tour of Jamaica
Anytime during 2011
When you think of holidays in Jamaica what do you picture? Sugary soft white beaches, grand plantation houses and gallons of golden rum, well, granted, you can while the days away stretched out on the sun-bleached sand. Take a river raft ride past the sugar plantations that are home to those colonial great houses. And even put the world to rights over a glass of the pirates drink. But there's more to this paradise island than you might think.
If you like to explore, holidays in Jamaica are right up your street. Visit a crocodile farm, called Jamaica Swamp Safaris, in Falmouth. Near Ocho Rios, you can climb Dunn's River falls. Don mask and fins and plunge below the briny to see the coral throne room at Negril. All to the mellow background heart-beat of Reggae – it's the lifeblood of all holidays in Jamaica.

The hotels are 3* accommodation on the beach front. You will be staying on a bed and breakfast basis although upgrades are available.

Sample Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive at your designated airport for the start of your tour of Jamaica, what a better place to wait to board your flight then in one of the airports bars.
Once you have arrived in Jamaica you will be transferred to your hotel in Ocho Rios where you can check in and get yourself settled into your room before taking the opportunity to explore the night life of one of Jamaica’s most exciting holiday resorts.
Day 2 – After breakfast you have the day to yourself, why not familiarise yourself with the exotic surrounding of this beautiful island, or you can just relax in the sun. In the evening you have to try true Caribbean food in the many restaurants in Ocho Rios.
Day 3 – You will be picked up outside your hotel at 9:00am and taken to play your game Ocho Rios against the local side.
Day 4 – Today you have the full day at leisure, why not take a unique opportunity to visit the birthplace of the king of reggae “Bob Marley” in a 4x4. This tour takes you to some of the most breathtaking scenery in Jamaica.
Day 5 – Again today is a full day at leisure, so why not try “The Zion Bus”, this will take you on an unique tour from Island Village in Ocho Rios to St Ann, sip rum as your dreadlocked driver tells you all about the trip. On the return trip you will stop at the local jerk centre for an authentic Jamaican lunch treat of Jerk pork and chicken, rice, peas and belly wash lemonade.
If you like the sound of the 60s and 70s this is for you, an absolute once in a lifetime experience.
Day 6 – This is the second day of cricket against a local side in Montego Bay. After the match you will be wined and dined by your hosts in a traditional Caribbean BBQ, NOT TO BE MISSED.
Day 7 – Full day at leisure, you could take an air conditioned bus ride along the scenic Jamaican coastline to Chukka Cove Polo Club. Saddle up for the 3 hour horse back ride through the historic St Ann, taking in Richmond and llandovery, (two of the oldest sugar estates on the island), then along the beach front to Chukka Coves private beach, enjoying complimentary drinks while your guides prepare your horses for the amazing bareback ride in the Caribbean sea. Then head back to your hotel never forgetting this wonderful experience.
Day 8 – Your third and final match of the tour, you will be playing at the Police Cricket Club in Kingston, one of the best teams in Jamaica. After the game you will be entertained by your hosts, a truly eventful evening. The Caribbean food and drink will be flowing to the sounds of reggae music until the early hours. Not for the fainthearted.
Day 9 – The lat full day of your tour. Time for last minute shopping, you might want to go to Dunn’s river falls, 600 feet high it is that popular all year round the tourists flock to it.
Day 10 – You will be picked up from your hotel and taken back to the airport for your return flight back to the UK. You will have enjoyed yourself so much that as soon as you get back home you will be planning your next trip to the Caribbean.
