This is a review of my new Pellara Elite which I picked up for £135. I have not yet used it, however I will be using it in a few weeks.
About the bat. It weighs 2.7 and 1/2 and has 9 straight grains. There are a couple of tiny marks on the face but you don't really notice them. It pings beautifully of the mallet and picks up amazingly light. The edges are approximately 27.5mm. As I say I will be using it in a few weeks so I can tell you how it plays.

I really don't know. I'm still wondering that myself. I walked into the shop and there it was, just sitting behind a £100 Pellara pro, it wasn't even that cheap on their website.

Yeah. Total bargain that one is, the TOTR stuff from Adidas is nice, but I am knocking in a club graded bat, also a Pellara, for a mate, and it is pretty dead near the toe with a small middle - though, that said, when I hit the middle with either the ball or the mallet, it is VERY responsive!

Ohh, yeah I guess that they are worth a punt. Wait for the 2011 stuff to come out and get down to the shops in March or now if they already have it. Though I don't believe for the price they are worth it. I would say that you could get a better custom made bat (from Redback, SAF, H4L, Blueroom etc...)...and a decent net bat for the full price you would pay for an Adidas Elite. So, on balance, not really worth it, but it is your money I guess.

However Johan95, if I was to choose between
GM Luna, Adidas Pellara or Slazenger V100
which one do you think I should get???????

These three bats are a bad comparison, the Luna has a much lower sweet spot than the Pellara or V100. It's impossible to give a valid answer without information about your batting style, position in the order, home pitch etc.

Skip the Luna then, if you have a bouncy pitch and play on the backfoot then a low sweet spot is a bad idea.

You don't get much choice with the weight of junior sized bats, but you could probably expect most size 6s to be around the 2'4 or 2'5 mark.

Sure, with a custom bat like a Solitaire or Laver & Wood. For the big brands like Slazenger and Adidas though, the junior sizes are highly standardized. You probably could get a size 6 in your weight range, just be aware there is far less choice than for adult bats.

If you've found a supplier with a bat which meets your specifications, that's great! The V100 is an awesome looking bat so if you do get it, don't forget to review it!
