Can't blame you, Warney, they're awesome shades.
If my christmas bonus wasn't vital to me staying above my overdraft limit, I'd probably do the same. :( |

and I thought that I was an Oakley fan!!!
Seems like you're a bit of an Oakley guru so I'll ask you my question. I'm looking at getting some Jawbones for this season. I went to Bluewater today and tried a few pairs on and I'm really happy with the fit so they are definately the model that I'm going for. I liked the Jade iridium lenses but you can only get them with a plain white frame and I also quite liked the Ice Iridium Polarized lens. I think I'm going to get a pair Customised so I can jazz up the frames a bit. Unfortunately Jade iridium isn't an option on the custom site which is a bit of a let down so I think I'll go for the Ice but I'm not sure what to go for as the 2nd lens option. I have a yellow lens for my m-frames but I rarely use it. I've used a blue iridium lens before which isn't too bad for cricket as it's not too bright or too dark. Do you have any thoughts on Light Positive Red or G30 lenses? I spoke to a lad in a shop earlier who said G30 would be good for Cricket. |

I have G30's as spare lenses for my radars and they are very good in mid to bright light, much better than blue iridium. the fire iridiums are very similar to the ice but then its just done to if you want bright orange lenses. have you looked at the oakley jawbone BMX? only a little bit more than the customs but you get 3 sets of lenses and 3 ear socks. http://www.oakley.com/products/6525?cm_mmc=btt-10-_-hp-_-cycling-exclusive-_-jawbone-bmx

| I like those, especially the violet lenses but I don't think that set is available in the UK??? Also, these will cost quite a lot more than the custom ones because I was going to order mine through an online optical retailer that says you can piece together your glasses on the Oakley website, give them the specifications and then they will order them for 20% less than Oakley's RRP. If it wasn't for that deal then I would just go for the standard Jade & Matt White set. |
