Hi, I am a keeper and batter and I have a big responsibility this year in my team to score runs. At the crease I am usually very confident and fairly composed. I opened in our last friendly and only scored 15 due to a mistimed shot (tried to take advantage of the consistent leg side balls!). I was very comfortable and played a few nice shots and that's what I tend to do because I am a run scorer and love to hit boundaries. This year I may have to open a lot and I am not used to that as I usually bat around 4. So I was wondering if anyone here has tips for me to slow down my batting and not be drawn into giving my wicket away early in the innings.

Cheers.
