I live in Canada and winter for us is here. At the moment it is pretty cold whereas it is yet to get colder. Anyways, my questions is that where should I keep my bats so they are not dried over the winter and have long life?
Here is what I have done so far,
I bought GN bat in beginning of the season (in early July) and never oiled or did anything to it as the seller told me it has been oiled. However, I oiled it about 3 weeks ago (only the back (one light coat)). So question for this bat is that should I take the scuff sheet off and oil the front as well? If so how many coatings?
I also have CA bat which has been oiled front and back and was bought in early November
So what I have done is that I have wrapped a piece of cloth around these two bats only around the wood part not the handle (so moisture stays in the wood) and I have kept them under my bed. So is it okay to store them there?
My room looks like this: 1 b 2 b 3 4
Each number is a corner. Heating outlet is near number 2. "b" represents the bed
So my question is that what I have done so far is it okay? Also where I have kept my bats is that fine?
Thanks Much appreciated
