What is with the PCB and the capatin(s) of Pakistan that no opening pair is given a fair go to cement their places in the side?
I mean in the 1st Test vs New Zealand, Manzoor and Farhat where in favour. And now in the 2nd Test it seems as though Salman Butt and Fawad Alam will be opening.
Firstly I don't understand why Alam is being moved around the order.
Secondly if Pakistan has selected 3 specialist openers(Butt, Manzoor and Farhat), then what is the need to put a middle order batsmen in as an opener? It's hardly fair on Alam, who is still new to Test cricket. |
