Went down to the a12 in the snow to visit the shed to see if i could see any sticks i wanted to part my cash for, for the new season. After pulling in, i had the normal meet and greet then entered a room with about 100 bats, this i was going to have a swing with every single one. I wasn't specific when i went in. All i wanted was a bat that felt perfect in my hands, i didn,t care about edges or grains i just knew it would probebly be a 2.7-2.12, I donned a pair of Venom gloves and had a swing with every single bat there, and left anything i liked to one side, i ended up with 6 bats to choose from.
The bat,
i chose a 2.9 platinum. it had 6 straight grains and 33mm edges, and it felt orgasmic. definatly what i wanted. i'm surprised none of the venoms(more expensive) felt nicer but i guess it is just luck of the draw. Below are some pics, i can safely say even tho i was not after a big bat, this bat is very big for it's feather light pick up. After paying and having a chat i headed back home, where the bat would spend its first 5 hours on the side of the a12 and in an AA recovery truck! just my luck! however this bat feels like it is going to score me planty of runs this season, (if it stops snowing)
