This is a review of the fusion superbest which i purchased at the end of last summer. I gave james a call an arrnaged a time for me to come visit and i explained what kind of wight and profile i was interested in.
After much messing about with the sat nav i eventually found where he lives/works. He had picked out a bat for me with 15 grains and currently unfinished. He let me have a pick up with the bat and see what i thought of the weight and things. The bat weight about 3lb 4oz at this point so he finished the bat curved the toe and took some wood of the bat which left the bat weight about 2lb 12oz without string and grips. I thought that despite the dead weight it picked up pretty light so i was happy with it. He then finished the bat for me and applied the stickers. Was really interesting seeing what went into the making of bat and james is a really good guy and is happy to talk you through everything he is doing.
The bat now has 3 grips and is weighing in at about 3lb which i am feeling is abit heavy at the moment so cnsidering getting just a little bit of weight taken off. Used the bat in couple of games at end of season scored 11*, 36*, 49 and 22 with it and also used at headingley indoor nets where it seems to be really coming nice.
So all in all i would really recommend fusion to anybody excellent service and a quality product. £195 for superbest but seems cheap with the £250-280 you can pay for some peoples bats. I am looking for new pads and gloves for next summer so might show abit of brand lyalty and go with fusion.
