Posted - 03/12/2010 : 13:40:21 I train in the week in the nets using the bowling machine just to keep the hands subtle and technical stuff (making sure i use the elbows and shoulders to receive the ball rather than the wrists to "catch" the ball), matchday we have team warm ups, myself and the second team keeper will alternate in bowling and fielding drills with the rest of the guy's. What might help is to get some throw downs to get the feet moving to maintain taking the ball infront of you and below your eyes!!! make sure you climatise your eyes propperly to the conditions (look up to the sky with your eyes as wide as possible, never into the sun!!!) oh and a couple of red bulls never go a miss if your fielding first lol!!! most of all enjoy it mate, best job in cricket!!!!!!! |
