My new bat is waxed does this mean i dont need to fit a scuff sheet to the face?

Its a top of the range bat if that makes a difference.

Scuff sheets are a personal preference some like them some don't I always use them as like to protect my bat and using a scuff sheet is reccomened by a few bat makers but knock in then apply scuff is the way I do it

I guess I am a purist in that I like to have a bat that has no added extras, not with standing the extra weight it may add or alter the pick up from when first hand tested in manufacture or purchase.

You must not play much cricket Mr Kenny.

No I can not, I have better things to be doing with my time! And it's not bats plural I only have one bat. I have always believed you can only bat with one bat at a time( I believe it is against the laws to hold a bat in each hand whilst batting!)

Whilst many swear by them I have never had to use one, wanted to use one or will ever want to. - Edge protection yes I have that on my bat - I use those a lot!!

Can you please post pictures of your cricket bats Mr Kenny ?

Scuff sheet is not a compulsory item - a bat if looked after properly, knocked in properly and oiled properly, will not need a scuff sheet protection. more hassle than they are worth in my view.

You should fit a scuff sheet straight away before knocking in your new bat.
