Hi all

Recently i have had the luxury of obtaining a Choice Willow, for those that dont know, there are a bat manufacturing company in Redbourn in Hertfordshire.

Having used the top end bats big Lads of Gunn and Moore, Gray Nicolls and Newbery and now having used a choice willow i find it very hard to see just how i can go back.

i play a high standard of cricket and use a 2.8 with two grips, With the well known companies more recently the gm last year i used an apex l/e. however there grading system for bats does sem a bit sceptical. This year i wanted the middle slightly higher. Going into choice straight away the customer service is impeccable asking me what kind of player, what standard of willow and what weight.

I still went for a 2.8 with two grips, however the middle is raised a little higher then the traditional low middle bats and the got as much wodd in as possible for 2.8. The outcome has been excellent, the pick up is second to none, and their new stickers being beautiful, sleek and gives you almost a patriatoic sense. I have netted with it against spinners after knocking it in and it goes very well. THe middle being raised higher suits me to a tea and i have found that i have stopped overhitting even when playing big shots as i have confidence in that bat.

I dont reckon that smaller manufacturers get credit for the quality of their bats and hopefully more people will look elsewhere when thinking about their bat.

It is not quite top of the range, Test grade willow is top of the range, you only have pro, which is still top quality willow,

I imagine "having the luxury of obtaining" means he didnt buy it (could be wrong) - just go on the choice website and look at the prices.
