I recently bought a gt ***** from morrant. It weighs 2.10 and picks up about 2.9 with a chevron and spiral grips.
9 straightish grains with no heartwood.
Responds really well off the mallet and keepy uppies.
Pictures to follow

So tapping it with a mallet for 15 minutes improved the performance?
quick-keep Posted - 27/03/2011 : 16:43:00
Had a net with it yesterday
first 10 minutes it wasnt doing much and tbh i was a bit worried about it being a plank.
i stopped and tapped it with the mallet for about 15-20 mins and when i went back to using it the ball was flying!!
cant say how impressed and happy i am with this bat!
