Posted - 01/08/2011 : 19:35:02 ADIDAS spikes look pro if ur good! batting in them is all about where spikes are on feet so when go to mark out crease its where u like ur spikes for when u make ur guard!11!! personally Adidas high top spikes are brilliant and the low tops are good for long periods of time but dont last very long and get dirty and wet easily. |

Posted - 27/11/2010 : 19:06:56 no there isn't, if its comfortable you can wear it for however long neccessary |

Posted - 27/11/2010 : 15:58:25 Theres a difference between a shoe being comfortable and being happy to bat for up to 5 hours in them |

Posted - 27/11/2010 : 11:27:16 thebd there will be more than one specific shoe in the world that fits you niceley, there will also be a cricket shoe that fits you nicely. no point in buying shoe, spiking up, getting protection on, to turn it into a cricket shoe - just find a cricket shoe that fits you nicely in the first place |

Posted - 26/11/2010 : 19:31:03 if youve got a type of shoe, say a nice pair of adidas trainers that you like, and your a size 8 perhaps, but theyre size 8 and a half, then youll grab another pair of the adidas's because that specific shoe, out of all the shoes in the world, fits you nicely and you can grab another pair to spike up, does that make sense? |

yeh but what sempre sami is saying is that by spiking them, you confine them to the cricket pitch FOREVER!!! |

Posted - 22/11/2010 : 16:58:43 yes ok the weight point may be flawede, but the comfortability point isnt, and this is for a favourite pair of trainers that you already have.. |

Posted - 21/11/2010 : 21:28:46 well seeing as many running shoes are petty much just mesh, laces and a sole there is a difference in protection. cricket shoes have a strengthened toe area, not an massively effective protection BUT it beats buying trainers, sending them off to be spiked, a week later sending them off to have toe protction put in, getting them back and realising you've probably spent more than you would have if you'd just bought cricket shoes in the first place and that they are probably now roughly the same weight as cricket shoes. |

Posted - 21/11/2010 : 20:54:09 tbf, cricket spikes and running shoes make little difference in toe protection. also, go to ian mason in brum to get them steel capped or carbon fibre capped for lightness as well |
