Posted - 03/06/2011 : 12:25:17 Saying that my slowest ever is 18 off 65. Lol. ( I usually bat in the middle order 4, 5, 6) but that day we were all out for 56 in a 50 over game. But my average strike rate is in the late 70s and my batting average in rep is 35 and club 53. |

couldnt agree more. It will be very useful if coaches start stressing on the same point as quoted by damo here. |

Posted - 01/11/2010 : 16:50:00 if your playing on a big boundary and coming in at 6 you should have a while to look at the fielders and know which ones you can take twos to, if your not a massive hitter then nurdle. It's about knowing your limits and knowing what type of batsman you are and playing within that so you cnan fulfil the role that your in the team for |

Posted - 01/11/2010 : 06:32:23 just found out that we are playing against a pretty bad team on the weekend any tips of how i can score runs at a faster rate. p.s. the field we are playing at is very big and has a slow outfield.Might target fielders on the boundary and get 2's and 1's, but any other tips are welcome. Thanks for your help so far. |

Posted - 31/10/2010 : 15:23:44 having lost 6 quick wickets, i think that wasn't nearly as bad an innigs as it may sound. For me, it's just about adapting to the circumstances. PLaying two matches in two days the one game i scored 18 off 64 balls and the next 88 off 50. It's just knowing the situation and knowing what your role is in that particular situation, so your knock doesn't sound that bad. |
