Just got this kooka through this morning, seems a really nice one. sort of needed another bat and was lucky enough to get a decent one. its a kookaburra kahuna 1000 which i got direct so was able to specifiy some details such as shape, grain, weight etc..

havent hit it with a ball or mallet yet but feels beautifully balanced and sits in my hands very nicely indeed.

weighs 2.9 stickered and single grip and is pretty large for said weight, also picks up awsome.

something like 12/13 grains with a smallish butterfly stain halfway up the face of the blade.

will have a hit with it later on today to see how it feels and wether its match ready or not, im not knocking it in.

got it pretty cheap, a lot less then rrp so dont ask how much it cost - but either way i got a very good deal

I believe so, my sister had a sponsorhip deal with kookaburra i rememebr going to the warehosue in Corby with her to pick out some bats. Its like an alladins cave, floor to ceiling boxes of bats, fantastic place.

I went to Kook to get mine and just couldn't find any that I really liked - admiteddly I wasn't looking at the Kahuna RP, but generally the bats were all heavy and all the models had a standard shape apart from the Blade (or whatever that Yellow one is called). Not that long ago each bat model had their own profile eg. the Ice had a low middle with little concaving...Also if you've got a deal JP the best value bats have to be the 'Big' range

when you say you went direct did you just email them and tell them what you wanted? im considering going 'direct' for a kook next bat if you can get them like that, great bat.

Looks a good bat, hope your form turns around.

I think it looks better without the stickers.

Just my opinion, obviously makes no different when your racking up the runs.
