just got a newbery thruxton 5* from my local cricket shop
9 grains ,2 heartwood
2,10 1/2 with 33 mm edges
i think its good for £145
wot do you guys think? |

I have a Newbery Thruxton, paid about £170. I thought it was a Player but have just noticed the identifying Mark on the logo, ie under the Thruxton wording on the face, has been sliced off. Have I been sold a pup? It's a great bat but I would hate to think I have paid this price for a 5 star.
It has E3 on the shoulder.
Any thoughts? |

i took it back to where i purchased it and if i'm honest they didn't really want much to do with it just said it wasn't something they could deal with.They said that they doubted that newbury would dod anything as the damage was in the toe area |

KJB011 the bat is broken and in a bin somewhere
the toe was ruined after the 1st month or so
i went and purchased a new Warsop and that is much better for the £55 more i payed

And to be honest the bat is actually quite good, heartwood on outside edge and straight grains. |

hardly rubbish, probably safe to say its better than a gn nitro carbo or kook blade 750
maybe he didnt have enough for sps or players models or didnt want to spend that much, either way theres no need to be a **** and insult him wrighty(mental age)10 is there |

I have used the bat for the past few games. I would say you this. This is the lightest bat I played. I am more confident and striking the ball well. Though the bat is light it has a good ping. When the ball hit the sweet spot it simply running away. I think I am going to hold on to this. Thought my feed back helps others. |
