I bought this bat Kookaburra blade 250 from a local shop 8/9 days before Christmas last year 2009. Bat has 9 decent wonky grains but decent willow for Grade 3, weight is 2.8lb and light balanced pick up and when i tested the ping at the shop with a mallet it sounded [banned word] and I liked the big shape and feel that's why I only bought it for net practice but the bat has turned to be really good so I will use it in nets & matches. The only negative is it has 3 tiny knots just below the bird on the front sticker but I feel they wont make much difference to the performance to the bat.

Kookaburra offer excellent customer service. I got my bat back on friday after they rehandled it free and fully refurbished with new toe guard, grip, scuff sheet and better quality stickers fitted all for free and this only took abt 10 days. |

I've had the kook blade(massive profile) for abt 8/9 months and it has played brillianty and recently when I was replacing the old scuff sheet I noticed the handle was broke. Kook Ccx bat I bought few weeks ago and used it myself for few nets and then I borrowed it to bro and he has damaged the toe and the handle has cracked. He has broken both my kook bats and I think he lets other ppl use it in his team.

The blade series of the kooka bats really look quality bats. I picked up a few yesterday in my local cricket shop and they felt amazing, really light pick up for a fairly big bat. You can see how Morgan can play such shots with the ease of pick up with the Blade.
If I was going to get a new bat, it's certainly a bat I would cover over going custom. |

I used my dad's ancient slazenger for a while before buying another British brand, Newbery. However, the Grizzly I got is an absolutely shocking bat! The grains are wobbly behind the protective cover, you can FEEL the grains on the b;lade of the bat! Surely this isn't a Newbery standard? The slazenger was better after 25 years of disuse!
This was probably in the wrong section. I might do a review once my Drama and Science is out of the way. |
